Depression is an odd subject, essentially it is alleviated and prevented with a number of approaches. Therapy the primary and in more serious cases medication (anti-depressants) as the name would suggest. Both work and a combination of the two are often the best mode of treatment, however if the depression is mild there is countless tricks on how to spice up life and get more enjoyment out of it and I'll also mention that a third of depression dissipates of its own accord.

I wish there was one sure way to get ride of depression. Unfortunately there are different strokes for different folks. As well as varying degrees of depression severity. If you are feeling under the weather, a simple walk might cheer u up a bit. If you are suffering with severe crippling depression, one will have to try very different methods. Most depression should be treated by a professional. Whether that be a doctor, psychiatrist, psychologist or therapist. No matter the severity of depression, it is better/safer/easier to have someone help u along rather than try to tackle it on your own.
