There's no easy answer to this one. The main thing, I think, is to just keep going. Try everything. It can seem like the only thing left to do is give up, but I can promise you that if you just give it time, things will get better. Another thing - try to push yourself just a little bit. The more you stay in your room, the more you avoid other people, the more you refuse to leave the house, work, eat anything besides junk, the worse you will feel. If it is all you can do to get out of bed and change your underwear, then congratulate yourself for that. It's an achievement.
I would recommend anyone suffering from depression diagnosed or suspected to see a professional if at all possible. If you can't afford healthcare and it isn't provided free in your country or area, there might be charities that could help you. At the very least, talk to a friend. A lot of people benefit from therapy and/or medication. Whatever you do, just keep going. Please don't give up - you will thank yourself for fighting one day.

the true way to get rid of depression my friend is to know what causes the depression and working to resolve the cause of the depression. we cant put it away and we cant throw it out its apart of us like a test we have to face sooner or later. i'd recommend sooner rather than later.

Get up and move. Do ANYTHING other than sit on a couch or - worse - in bed. Walk down the street. Go to the store to buy a simple thing you need like milk etc.

You have to feel things. Feelings defy depression. Depression is when you are empty inside and things don't make sense or have a point. To feel emotions is to defeat depression.

Getting "rid" of depression is not the easiest thing to do. Most believe you can never fully get rid of it. I feel that your best options would be to seek professional help and let them guide you through the journey of dealing with depression.

Think of all your good memories and don't think about the thing which makes you more depressed. Do things which makes you happy.

Focus on the postives about yourself rather than leeching on the negatives, always look at yourself in a good light rather than a bad one.
