There isn't really a way to "get rid" of depression. Its a chemical imbalance in the brain, to put it simply. But with the right medication, sometime you can begin to be different. I quit caring about what people thought and focused on who I was and wanted to be. Its helped quite a bit. If you feel like you're getting better, then you most likely are.

you can't get rid of depression, but you can learn how to live with it. Depression is like always walking around in sleppers. It's basically not being able to leave your confort zone. My opinion is always trying to see the bright side, sleep well, and exercising. this will help you not overthink things, and feel good about your body. finally, when everything else fails, chocolate is alwyas a temporary answer :)

Depression is not something that simply goes away overnight. Depression is an illness and needs to be treated over time. For some people, depression never fully goes away. Talk to your doctor if you think you may have depression and they will tell you about treatments.

I don't know if you really can get rid of depression. But I know that you can at least control it. To do this you really do need to get help, because if you don't get professional help than it isn't going to go away. Some will recommend medication whilst others recommend some sort of therapy. It depends on you, how severe your depression is and is based on what will work best for you.
