Depression is something that can be cyclical and episodic. Some people can get rid of Major Depression for good and only have one to a few episodes during their life. For others, this is not the case and they have to deal with it for a much longer period of time. I personally believe that there is always a hope for recovery from depression though.

You can't get rid of depression completely if it's something you've dealt with for almost all of your life, especially if you had it during the developmental portion of your life. You can control the symptoms, but it never truly goes away. If you think otherwise, perhaps you should re-examine if you actually had depression or were just at a low point in your life you overcame.

No because EVERYONE is automatically the same; we all overthink. We all have emotions and while most of the time these emotions are good (I hope), sometimes there are the bad emotions. Both good and bad emotions are caused by overthinking, which will always be lingering in the midst of you're day.

No. Never entirely - maybe it's when you're reading your favourite book, or listening to your favourite song, or simply looking at your parents. During those special moments - you're happy, you're not depressed but that doesn't mean you've gotten rid of depression, you've just forgotten about it for an hour while you've been reading, for 4 minutes while you've been listening to the song or for 5 seconds while looking at your parents.

I don't know, I'd say yes and no. I don't think depression will ever really leave me, but I know that I feel depressed less often, I don't ever fall as hard as I used to

Depending on the reasons why, depression can be a diagnosed clinical illness or, more somewhat more simply, a feeling that lasts a while based on circumstance. The former can be coped with but most likely cannot not be "cured", whereas the latter can eventually be healed from.
