This is hard to say, but it depends on how much it impairs your ability to function from day to day. The more things that your depression prevents you from doing, the more serious it is. This is probably the most important measure to look at. If you find that your depression prevents you from getting things done which you need to, it is more than likely in serious need of treatment.

Well that all depends on you. Depression effects everybody differently. Everybody leads different lives and has different pressures, cultures and backgrounds. So, what could seem very mild to one person, could crush another

I would say all depression is serious, but it ranges. Sometimes it happens because of the weather or maybe it just happens. If it was something that kept happening, I would go to talk to someone about it and then think of it was more than something small

It depends on the person. If you are experiencing both the cognitive, behavioral, physical and emotional symptoms of depression (which also depend on the person)listed in the 7 Cups Depression Self Help Guide https://www.7cups.com/depression-help-online/lesson1.html , there is a chance you may be experiencing depression. In the case of finding out how severe it is, I suggest talking to your doctor or a therapist to see. :)

I can't say that since I am not a professional and only a professional can tell. So you might wanna search the internet for a psychologist or therapist in your area and ask them how serious your depression is.

I can't vouch for anybody when I talk about depression, only that I know that depression comes in many forms and there really isn't a one sided factor that is causing depression. As I struggle with a form of depression myself, my form comes in the shape of not knowing who I am. There is a certain emptiness that you feel conflicting with your wants and desires and at times, you don't really know what to do in your life or are scared of what will happen, and in spite of this you continue on hoping for the best, hoping it will be all over soon, that you can finally relax and enjoy yourself the company of knowing that "once you get through this" it will be over...but that time still hasn't come yet for me and I constantly struggle everyday wishing that I was a little kid again not knowing the effects of school, family, career, friends....it's all very difficult right now and sometimes I want to just end it...but a part of me can't because in a logical sense, there is really no reason to since everyone has gone through the same thing as I have and yet I still feel troubled and desperate in finding out who I am and whether or not life is pushing me to become greater or just testing me to see how much I can take before I break down. But a part of me still wishes to go back to the past....to stay young forever.

That is something that I cannot answer unfortunately. I would recommend going to a professional who knows about depression and has worked with people that suffer from depression. They will be able to better help you answer your question!

It really depends. I would take a few different tests online and then if serious please seek professional help. It may not seem like it's that bad but trust me, help will help.

This will depend on how you are feeling. If you have a very mild "meh" feeling day to day and you just feel down, that is mild. It is severe when you start feeling numb or "detatched" from your body and the world, when you can't feel happiness over things that used to excite you, or when you maybe even begin to consider suicide because you are so dreadful.
