depression is not something you can get over. depression is something you can conquer. no matter what you will live with it. but you can take over it by doing things you love, avoiding that thing that caused you to get depression in the first place. but at the same time, you cant get rid of it, you can only feel better. i learned that the hard way... trust me. i felt like i was dying day by day, until i met someone that i liked, so i started to talk to her. she made me feel better until one day, i couldnt speak to her anymore because of strict parenting from her side and mine. so after i lost a good friend, i returned depressed just like before. i hope this helps you in anyway.

*through. There are many ways in which we can get through depression. For instance;doing things that make you happy, trying to develop a new hobby, trying to eat and sleep better, trying the positive self-talk therapy, focusing on your health, trying to talk with loved ones about all the issues that you face and if you're not able to cope up well,I recommend visiting a psychologist or a psychiatrist.

There are a myriad of ways and it's different for everyone. Medication was able to alleviate my depressive symptoms and, after eight months of being on it, I came off and my symptoms have remained in remission; 2 months without an actual depressive episode. So for me medication was my answer. But I have a friend who fights hers with daily exercise, eating healthy, and taking supplements. Now while everyone should try to be healthy and exercise, not everyone will see a "cure" of their depression from just these activities. This goes back to everyone being wired differently. I have another friend who tried so many different cocktails of drugs over the course of 7 years before trying TMS and now she's so much better. So this answer to this one just depends on the individual asking.
