Absolutely! You may find yourself a new network to rely on. It won't always be your closest friends/family. When I first began my journey, my counsellor was the biggest help!!

It is definitely possible! Beating depression is definitely no easy task, however, it is an obtainable goal. The first steps include self compassion, acceptance, and building self confidence. Believing in yourself is a big step too. Personally, my depression hasn't left me yet, and it may never leave but I have allowed myself to accept that and believe that it will go away eventually. Next steps involve developing coping skills for dealing with it and preventing it in the future. Finally there's ways a person can increase their emotional well being almost completely prevent it. Just believe in yourself and the rest will come with it!
