There are several associations to help old people. I think if we want to help, we should join them. With elderly people, we can talk a lot about their experiences and memories, unless they are head-ill. But in general, all of them give a lot of love.

The way you can volunteer and talk to elderly is just to talk to them like you would talk to anyone else. Its pretty easy. Just have a conversation with them.

There are many nursing facilities that allow people to come in and spend time with the residents. If you are younger and in school you can also get community services hours set up for it and it will show on college applications as well as job applications.

Go to your local retirement homes and ask what you can do to volunteer. Hospitals are also a great place to help out! Sometimes both places will have volunteers record elderly people's stories, read, or even just talk.

With the elderly you should have a lot of patience and compassion when talking with them. Elderly people require a lot of time and energy. Lastly only do it if your heart wants too :)

I can volunteer by getting involved with my community. Every community has volunteer opportunists, it can be the simplest things. I can talk to the elderly by going to Senior living homes helping by talking to them, reading them stories, plaything games and much more.

There are many ways to get involved in volunteering with the elderly! Many nursing homes will set a minimum volunteer age to go in an specifically volunteer. If you meet it, they are almost always looking for volunteers! If not, I used to go all the time. They don't get much younger company, so they like when people go in and sing, or act, or dance, or even just talk to them for a bit.
