There is no one way for you to stop feeling depressed. Depression is a complex illness, and the things that may work for one person, may not necessarily work for you! I often hear people who explain their frustrations when they explain that their friend was able to cope with their depression by working out, but when they tried it, it didnt help as much. Everybody is unique and so is their depression. Yes, people may experience the same symptoms, but the solutions are often unique too. Things you can try are: working out, going out with friends, spending time with family, reading a good book, baking, etc etc. However, these are small distractions that may make the depression subside a bit, but the best way to "stop", would be to consider seeking professional help. :)
