People with cancer mostly don't need you sympathy, they usually want you to make them feel as if they were not sick at all .. as if they were equal with any human being. so the worst thing you may do is reminding them of their illness .

I think it's important to remember that you can't sugarcoat things or make promises. Let them know, whoever they may be, that you are there for them and that they definitely aren't alone. People like to be heard and acknowledged, so try not to treat them any differently or avoid a subject because you think it would be weird :)

You could help by donating to various charities that research cancer or charities that help cancer patients live their lives to the fullest. If your friend or family has cancer it's important to let them know you are there to support them and that you love them.

Remind her to visit doctor/hospital, give mental support , and Cancer patients need to conserve their strength, and daily life contains so many chores that must be one, . You can help out by shouldering some of your loved one's daily responsibilities: Walk her dog, refill her prescriptions, or pick up her kids after school.

Support. Any kind of patient needs a strong support system. Be there for them. IT helps a patient recover faster when they have someone standing behind them. Remember that they are humans with names and families also. Not just people with cancer or patient number 5.

One way to help people with cancer, is just to be close to them. If they are a loved one, spend time with them and talk to them, but don't treat them differently than you normally would. They are still your family or friend and they don't like feeling like this illness is causing you to think of them differently.
