I'm not sure. Donating money to international organizations is a good start. Also sending physical donations to groups that take them where they're needed.

From my experience I have talked to a girl from another country with a few problems and I was able to help her talk them through. I just talked over an online web and we never gave each other personal details

Due to not being 18, I wasn't able to donate using my own bank account. However, my neighbours and fellow youth group leaders did several fundraising events in Australia for children and families in Borneo and Fiji. I participated in several events and it was amazing as I enjoyed volunteering. Although I wasn't able to fly over there, but I knew I helped them indirectly and this made me really happy. :) Now my birthday being in a few days, I know I can finally have the chance to donate to all those charities and foundations I see advertised on TV daily. E.g. WHO, International Animal Rescue, The Fred Hollows Foundation, Red Cross etc.
