Taking a shower is all you can do in a day to make yourself feel better make it count, say positive affirmation while taking that shower, write them on the steaming mirror when you get out, or even just put a big happy face on the mirror. So just a shower a day can make someones day great.

Because you still made progress in your day. Taking a shower may not seem significant in your eyes at the time, but you got yourself out of bed that day and did something good for yourself. You're taking positive steps forward, and even if you don't get much done, it's still good. As humans, we can't always shove as many things as we'd like to into a day, and that's okay. I struggled with this too until I came to peace with the fact that I just have to try harder tomorrow and let whatever happens today happen.

You still accomplished something! It gives off a sense of accomplishment, even if it seems like a small and mundane task. It may not be a complete fix for mood, but accomplishing something can help boost one's mood a bit. Also, taking showers have their own emotional benefits as well.

If you are taking a shower it can help you're mind by easing the tension that was on a subject or a thought that worried and stressed you out before to where you don't feel that tension pressuring yours much.

Congratulations on taking a shower! That is something! You also certainly did another thing: you breathed. And chances are you did even more than that. Maybe you refrained from doing something that would harm you. Maybe you tried not to give in to worrying or were fighting negative thoughts. Maybe you took care of yourself by getting some rest or making yourself a cup of coffee or eating something. Whatever you did today, it is enough.

Because taking a shower is a lot better than doing nothing at all. And when you're really depressed, even going into the bathroom and taking a shower can seem like climbing a mountain.
