Always? Well it is different for everyone. Some people realise that they won't necessarily get better but simply want to manage and get through life, day by day. Some people even acknowledge that their depression has taught them things about themselves. So really it does depend, I know that many people do want to get better of course, but sometimes it's more about managing the symptoms and getting by.

Sometimes yes and sometimes no... In my personal experience with Depression. There were times where I didn't want to get away. Why? Because I felt it was somewhat my "comfort space". If I ever got happy again I felt it was just going to crash down on me... dragging me back into a pit of despair... I didn't expect happiness to stay with me no matter how hard I tried... There was always something to ruin it... Then there's those times where you feel it's just overwhelming and it slowly takes over you, but you have no idea how to control it. Those are the times you want to get better from it....

Not necessarily. Sometimes you don't even realise how bad you are and you don't feel like doing anything, not even getting better.

Not always, sometimes part of the depression is that they cannot see a way to get better and it also becomes part of who they are if they experience it for so long.

Some people do but others don't but that's because they're afraid to get help because they afraid to appear weak.

No, because the nature of it urges a vicious cycle that feeds itself, sometimes going so far as to convince themselves they're fine in their dying breath.

People with depression want to get better, because nobody enjoys feeling that way. But they often stop people from helping them, because they feel as though getting help is pointless.
