Not everyone who has depression wants to get better, but that doesn't mean that they can't get better. Most people who don't want to get better find that with counselling and therapy they are happy with the progress they make

Yes, we all want to get better. We just don't always know how but with support and guidance, you can become better because you are someone who's of value and you deserve the best in life. Keep your head up.

Every person's experience with depression is different. Depression can affect a person's motivation, can make them lose the joy they once had in things that interested them, and can sap their energy. People with depression usually have to try out many different forms of treatment, whether that be different types of therapy or different types of medicine, to manage their depression. The most important thing to remember is that every person's journey is their own, and they have the right not to pursue various treatments just as they have the right to pursue them.

I can not speak for everyone but for me when I struggle with depression I know that I want to get better. And the people i know who also struggle I know they want to get better. I'm sure that no one wants to have it and that they want to get better.

No. Unfortunately, some people find security in their depression because it has been a part of their lives for so long. Many people are afraid of what they would be without their depression. You should always know that there are options for getting help for depression, and it is a mental disorder like anything else, with studies and treatments. Best of luck!

No that is not always the case. Sometimes when you have been depressed for so long depression becomes kind of like a security blanket and it feels weird not to be sad. There is nothing wrong with this it's just a preferred emotion

it depends. some feel that they just want to live life the way it is but there are some who wish to overcome their state of depression. its always about the choice you make. some choose to stand up to their problems and some chose not to.

More often than not, people do want to get better from depression. It's this feeling of loneliness, worthlessness and a low level of energy. It just demotivated people and i personally wouldn't want to live that way forever
