No not everyone because most people don't want to admit that they have it and also they're scared for what they could feel like afterwards.

While most people do eventually want to stop being depressed, some people just want to wallow in sadness believing that they deserve to be sad. Nobody deserves to be sad, no matter what they did.

Depression hurts anyone that experiences it even when they try to be strong about it. Does everyone want to get better? I am not really sure. I would hope that they would. Everyone I have known who has had it (including myself) tried to overcome it the best they could but I couldn't say whether Everyone wants to get better. Saying that, a lot of people do want help to concur depression and they want to get better so they can live their lives happily. Have I ever met anyone who doesn't want to get better? No. Then again, I don't know everyone's feelings towards their depression.

Actually not everyone does. Because there so used to it. They're comfortable with the way they feel, they don't wanna leave there nest. But some people hate depression and just want it gone. It's depends on how the person is honestly.

I think that people do want to get better from depression, but for a number of reasons it may sometimes appear that they do not. For some people low level depression has become a part of their life and identity and it's hard to leave behind old habits and ways of interacting with others and the world. For those suffering from more severe forms they may have fallen into a pattern where they are cared for by others and fear taking on challenges such as school, work or looking after a family again, so may be quite resistant to treatment efforts.

I believe wholeheartedly that they do . I always wanted to until I did. :-) for me it was a long mental journey where I began to learn about my brain and my life by myself. Like a personal journey getting to know myself not the image of me or the standards. I started to understand myself instead of judging. I learned to experience life by my eyes not a 3rd person feeling. To answer your question if a person is actually depressed they will want to get better. Sometimes you might meet people who look or feel depressed but are actually other things going on and they might not want to get better from those things. But it can come a time when a person is so depressed that they have given up a hope to get better and that can come off as they not wanting to get better. But when we suffer we want things to get better same for people suffering with depression even if they might not have the courage or motivation to do it they still do want to get better.

Personally. I am not sure. It is a feeling that is quite worse, I want to get out of it, but still I feel, that there is nowhere else left for me to go. More like getting lost in a forest, but not having the enrgy to get out of it or even think about getting out of that situation. Of course I would like to get better, but lack the energy , will and ability to do so.
