Do whatever you feel is right, it's your life nobody else's. But my opinion on that is that you should tell somebody because from my experience it does get to you, it chips away at your life slowly. So it would be good if you told somebody who would be willing to help you.

You should tell someone, whether it be your friend, parent, counselor, Someone can get you help. But you don't need to flaunt it, that may attract negitive attention you don't need

It's tough to go through depression by yourself. Having someone on your side, whether they're a caring family member, friend, or a healthcare professional, can be a tremendous source of support. Keeping depression a secret is exhausting and can put a lot of strain on relationships, so if there are people who care about you and are worried because they don't know what's going on, it might be good to tell them. When it comes to colleagues and employers, or classmates and teachers, it's really up to you. Some people will understand and do their best to help, while others might be dismissive or harmful. In a few cases (such as applying for health insurance), you might be obligated to disclose your depression. Ultimately, it's up to you. Consider the potential benefits and risks, then take care to place your trust in those who deserve it. You shouldn't have to go through this alone. (And of course, you can always tell someone here at 7 Cups of Tea!)

Yes, It's very difficult to reach out but you should reach out to someone who will understand and help. In such a state there is general hopelessness and it's comfortable to be alone but understand that people care and will help.

Depends on the context. In an absolute sense, you don't, for the same reason you don't have to tell people any one particular piece of information about yourself. But if due to whatever circumstances you find yourself in it would make sense that you tell people, then do it.

In my experience telling people about one's depression can provide a good support net for moments of need. However is perfectly fine if one does not feel like talking to a friend, a 7cups listener or a qualified professional are just as good!

If you feel that life is worthless and you have thoughts of ending your life, you should definitely talk to someone. Friends, family, anyone you can trust. Or you can speak to a doctor or specialist. If you feel in any way depressed, I would talk about it immediately. It helps.

You tell who you trust and are comfortable with. You don't have to tell anyone if that makes you comfortable. But if depression starts taking over your life you need to get help so you can be happy

Only if you think they will help you with your depression and only if you want to. Remember you do not have to tell anyone about your depression unless you need help. It is up to you whether or not you want to tell your friends and family and decide who will be the most supportive because having support is a necessity when sufdering from depression

Being able to recognize you are depressed is enough. You don't have to tell anyone unless you want them to know. I would tell close family and friends to let them be aware, this is your issue but they can help. You can always get help.
