Yes. It doesn't matter where you come from, or what your problems are. Your problems are never "too small" to feel depressed. That's like telling someone that their situation isn't "good enough" so they don't have the right to feel happy. You have every right to be sad.

Everybody has the right to feel however they are feeling. Being privileged in some areas of life doesn't mean that there will never be struggles in other areas!

Many people fail to realize that depression is caused by a chemical reaction in your brain. This chemical reaction can not be stopped or prevented no matter your advantages, wealth, or anything else of the sorts.

Depression knows no socioeconomic status. Everyone has the right to feel depressed based on their circumstances so there is nothing to feel guilty about.

This question is one that can cause and confuse those with depression. Someone somewhere will always have it worse than you. Someone will always have it better as well. The thing is, you are you. You are living your life. The issues you have are affecting your life and you have to live through them. Everyone is different and everyone handles things differently. With those two things in minds, anyone has the right to feel depressed or have depression. It does not matter what or why. You feel how you feel and you have a god given right to feel the way you do. It is the one thing no one can change. As far as the mental illness and biological side, of course you have the right. It can be a biological lack of chemicals in your brain that cause your depression.

Yes. No matter how privileged or under privileged a person is, they are both humans. They both have a heart, lungs, kidneys etc. It is what is on the inside that counts , it does not matter if you live in a big mansion or are homeless. They are just exteriors. Your feelings dont depend on how much money you have or how privileged you are.

Yes. Yes you do. You have the right to have emotion. You have the right to feel low. You have the right to be depressed but you also have the right to be happy.

Of course. Depression doesn't discriminate. You have the right to feel anything that you feel. Your feelings are valid, whether you consider yourself privileged or not.
