It really depends on the situation you're facing. If you feel like that advantage you're taking of is somewhat depressing at some times then it's okay to be it.

Of course! Your mood is relative to your own circumstances. Some people find it helps them feel better when they recognise and appreciate that there are others who are happy with less, but for most people (especially those with diagnosed mental health issues) this just produces guilt and shame, and compounds the problem.

Absolutely! It is a mental illness therefore you can't really control it, although some people can cope with it better than others. No matter what situation you are in, it is still possible to be depressed, and just because you're privileged doesn't make your depression any less valid or less difficult then someone who is in a more difficult situation.

Depression is usually a result of a chemical imbalance in the brain that no amount of privileges can fix. Keep that in mind!

Everyone is susceptible to depression; they are varying levels to which this condition can affect you but most people during their lives will have a period of time when they have depression, even in its mildest form. Depression isn't bothered by what you have materially or socially or physically, which means everyone has the right to feel they something they are suffering, regardless of what they have or don't have.

Yes, you do. Even with food on the table, other things in life, like friends, can make you feel worthless. Friends, unreachable goals, and other aspects might make you feel awful. Even some people yelling at you might cause you to be depressed.

Sure you have the right and privilege of feeling depressed, that's your free choice. Be aware if this depressed feeling is something beneficial for you or not, then you can choose again to use that right or priviledge get again or not.

Your emotions are valid no matter your background or who you are or where you come from. You're always allowed to feel how you feel. There are no rules on emotions. How you feel is always valid.
