Yes. It can not only be managed but can be cured with consistent meditation practices. Its now scientifically proven that our brain structure keeps on changing throughout life and meditation does change our brain for good ultimately leading towards a depression free life. Give it a try

It can be managed, but depending on what type of depression one has, natural management may not make it go away.

For some people, absolutely. People have definitely overcome depression with just therapy.
But some people need medication. Depression is a chemical imbalance, and antidepressants help to fix the imbalance.
There's nothing wrong with needing medication for a mental illness. It doesn't make you weak or lazy or crazy or a drug addict.

Thats actually a really great question. Depression can be induced by a situation, a pattern of negative or self-defeating thought processes, chemical imbalances, etc. You must first identify what the cause of your depression is and then treat it accordingly. Best of luck!

Of course it can. In my opinion it is more rewarding to overcome depression without the help of medication. Knowing you are strong enough to overcome any opstical in your life is amazing. Don’t be afraid to ask for help. Know you are strong and believe you are strong. It may take time but it is possible and anyone cans do it!

With therapy, it is definitely possible. Not everyone is comfortable with medication, sometimes the meds don't work, and sometimes people aren't allowed to take medication if they tried to commit suicide due to overdosing on pills (or are scared that they'll try it again and don't trust themselves with pills). With the right therapy and a good therapist, depression can be managed without any medication. Medication isn't always necessary to manage depression, but it does help many people.

Yes, different kinds of therapy can help a lot too. Often there are things in our pasts, that, once we actually talk about them, don't pull us down that much anymore.

It depends on the depression and the person, but there are cases where people manage without medication. I personally did for a while, and have tried being off and on medication at various points. For me the most important thing was having a network of supportive friends, and so I was able to manage with their help. For others exercise or other activities help, but for some people, such as me at a certain point in my life, I needed a little more help so I turned to medication. It's different for everyone, but it's certainly possible for some people to manage it without turning to medication.
