At any point! Sometimes it is helpful to talk it out with someone you trust. If you know you need help, please don't hesitate to get it. You may feel immensely better after being professional diagnosed, as you will be validated and hopefully receive the help that you need. I wish you the best of luck!

I think just about anyone can learn from having a life coach or therapist, so I'm not really shy about suggesting someone seek professional help if they seem to be suffering for long.. just make sure you don't label the person as being somehow "other" that "people like me" because of the diagnosis, if it comes, people with depression are still diverse human beings, they just happen to have a sometimes temporary imbalance, and sometimes permanent imbalance in the brain.. and they still have many parts of their lives that are meaningful and worthwhile and can be great friends and people in general.
