We all get to a point in life where we can feel we are depressed and not feeling well, but there is a difference about how long does this state lasts and if it has or doesn't have some corelation with event or events that are happening in our lives. For the clearer picture on it, there are common symptoms of depression that are easy to spot when you have some. Check up on a few of the symptoms to see if you match some:
- letargy
- low energy
- not thinking good about yourself
- isolating
- not having a desire for socialization
- feeling like everything takes a lot of effort
- having negative ruminating thoughts
- being passive
- not doing pleasurable activities
- lost of interest about life and current things going on in life..
These are just a few, but common.

i think that's something that only a therapist/psychiatrist can answer definitively but usually it includes a general feeling of hopelessness, sleeping too much or too little, eating too much or too little. sometimes u may feel like you don't want to have a future because the constant sadness or emptiness can really be exhausting. sometimes depression can be triggered by past trauma or the loss of a loved one but many times its just a feeling which can be very hard to deal with. if u think you're depressed, talking to a therapist or a family member is the best first step.
