People with chronic pain have hobbies, passions, dreams, quirks, etc. just like those without. Pain can make their lives a lot harder, not only because of the physical suffering but also of the pressure of being invalidated by healthier people. But they're still complete human beings, likely much more resilient for fighting the pain and stigma all the time. What makes one fall in love with a healthier person, can make one fall in love with a person with chronic pain. Healthier people who refuse to develop relationships with chronically ill people just because of their condition(s) are not compassionate towards their hardships, and may not be aware of their privileges as an able-bodied human.

Love is an interesting concept. We all care and desire for someone. People fall for others regardless of their challenges or quirks because they genuinely want to be with the other person. Chronic pain is a hurdle that few people must handle in their life, although it may limit ones ability to do day to day activities it is just chronic pain. It does not define the person themselves, it is but a mere physical attribute about them which makes them unique. The person that does fall in love with someone with chronic pain might want to be there to support their significant other and give them a helping hand as well.
