Some tips to handle and avoid cyber-bullying are: 1. ignore the bully(ers) and do not respond; 2. save/report the messages via all appropriate methods which you are comfortable with (e-mail administrators, use block/ban functions, report to local authorities); 3. tell supportive people about what has happened.

The very second that you realize you are being bullied in anyway even in cyber-land, Firstly, You politely express to them that they are being hurtful, If after you tell them that, They continue to be hurtful, You can either report them on the website, Delete them, or simply just block them so that you don't have to endure their hatefulness anymore.

One of the things I have learnt over the years is that no matter how hard you try to avoid cyber bullying, some will always come through. Everything you put on the internet is there for the world to see. Make syre things like facebook are private, and if people start to bully you, you block them. If it's a different website without a blocking system, there is usually a moderator who you can contact or a place where you can flag a post as inapropriate. Just be aware of what you put out there for everyone to see. Once it's on the internet you can't take it back down.

Don't give the bullies any attention. They are looking for a reaction, and if you keep giving them that reaction, it'll only get worse. Report, mute, and block them. My friends and I have been cyber bullied/harassed ourselves, and this method really works. If they continue to make new accounts and keep repeating their behavior, delete your account altogether, and create a new one, under a different username.

Besides limiting online time, building a strong social support system offline and online is very helpful. Development of skills for coping with bullying and other related issues can make a large difference in the impact that cyber bullying has on you. Surrounding your “internet self” with people who love and care about you, following those who post uplifting messages as opposed to harmful ones, limiting and refusing to be a part of online gossip, and making contributions to the greater good online have all helped me shape my internet world into one that I feel comfortable and happy in.
