Many people become bullied due to peer pressure. Children and teenagers in particular often get pressured by their friends to bully someone or they won’t be considered “cool.” They might not want to bully or hurt anyone, but when you are getting a lot of pressure from people you consider friends, it can seem like the only way to make the pressure stop is to give in. Children and teens also might worry that if they don’t give in to the pressure, they will lose their friends. Sometimes, peer pressure can even turn into being bullied, so sometimes people are bullied to bully others.
