Love does fade, if you let it. It takes time, but soon the wound will stop hurting quite so much and you slowly learn to live with the pain you have been through. One day you find that you can wake up and get dressed without crying; a few days later you might find that you can listen to your loved one's favorite song all the way through. The love will always be there. That experience is yours forever. But you slowly start to live with the pain as it becomes a more distant memory. If you are willing to let the pain go and become distant to you, if you do not hold it close for fear of losing it, you can live with the pain and learn to love again.

Well? To be honest its not the "love" fading away, its just a lack of scheduled activity that's causing a void, all the time you used to spend with the beloved or thinking about them

Because, possibly, mentally you have not made the decision to let go. You need to give yourself some pampering and have fun time.

I believe because as humans, we are vulnerable; dependent on each other. When we open our heart to someone, it's like giving them the chance to control our lives with us. The more we love someone, the more we put time, effort and 'personality', which we, unconscionably, appreciate. Giving someone time from our lives is the biggest sacrifice, because once you waste time, it can never be brought back, however; this sacrifice is what we call "love". It never fades away because this is what you believe, you believe it's unforgettable; yet once another person comes, with better qualities, you may let go, and finally breathe again

Because you're habituated to them. You've been with them for so long and after it's over for a long time you'll always find an empty space in your life where they resided.
