Because in a way, it is losing someone you care for. It is the disappointment of getting your hopes up about someone. It is a sudden change of something you were accustomed to. It is having to rebuild yourself alone. But that pain can also help you grow in to someone strong and wise. Everything we go through is a learning experience.
