Finding a breakup confusing, especially when you may not have all the answers to your questions, is common. One method of coping that may help you is mourning the answers you may never have, and practicing radical acceptance in the form of accepting the possible reality of never truly understanding your breakup. It can be really difficult to do, and I'm sure that this situation is very difficult to handle to begin with. I'm sorry to hear that you may be struggling. Have you made any effort to get closure or answers to any questions you may or may not have?

Thats completely natural. At times what our brain accepts a fact, our heart has a harder time to accept. Maybe you need complete closure, if you can have a chat with the person that might allow you to clarify why you both could not be together. If that is not an option then you may revisit the various aspects of your relationship that didn't quite feel right. You may be able to understand better then why what happened, happened. Its natural to care for people in our past, but we have to learn to let go and realise this is what's the best for us.
