Work on yourself... What you bring to the table, how you react to your partner and your own emotions. Challenge your habits, assumptions and expectations. Keep working on you. Don't get lazy. Believe in the good intentions of others and give yourself freely without fear. Romantic love is one of most rewarding pleasures, and also one of our most challenging ventures. I've had a lot of relationships before. I've had ones that lasted years, and ones that lasted hardly a day. Perhaps it's due to the fact that I'm a hopeless romantic, or the fact that I always need something to drive my poetry, but I'd rather be in a relationship thrilling and passionate. Sure, it may be a bit complicated. But all things worth having are never easy. You only live once, and love is perhaps the greatest thing humans are gifted to feel. If you're going to love someone, you may as well love them to the ends of the Earth itself, and risk here and there for a greater happiness than stay stagnant in the bounds of "reason".

By "simple relationship" you mean no love just being with someone else? If so, i believe its important to be with someone you love even if its complicated (unless the person hurts you).

The thing with human beings are, we are never happy. When we have a challenging relationship we will say we prefer a simple one. But when we have a simple one we will say its boring and we need more challenges. The idea is to appreciate your relationship the way it is. All relationships vary and thats what makes them unique.

That is completely up to you, if you think that the complicated and passionate relationship is the way to go....then why stop yourself. Now if you are hurting yourself or your partner is, maybe you should take a step back and think about it all.

Neither. It is best to be in a relationship based on mutual love, respect, and trust. The word mutual is key because you need look out for that other person and take care of them and their needs while being able to trust they are doing the same for yours.

It is important to be in a relationship for what you feel. If the relationship is complex, then it can tend to dim the joy of the relationship, but too simple can lead to boredom. it depends on what the person can handle, honestly.

Simple relationship. Life is as complicated as it is. Don't mindfully go into something that will make life harder for you.

My head says simple and reasonable, but I know my heart will always reach out for a passionate (and usually complicated) option. Unfortunately my heart and head do to tend to work together.
