You won’t be able to get over it for a while. The first step is to come into grip that the break up happened and there’s a chance you guys might never reconcile. The next step is to write reasons why this is a great opportunity for you (eg, he didn’t like going to the movies so now you can go with friends, there’s a guy in your class you’ve been eyeing but you were unavailable, he caused unnecessary stress). Use this time to reflect and address. He’s was not for you, there’s someone else in this world who wouldn’t cause you harm.

In times like this, you may feel hopeless and as though you're at your lowest point but that's not the case. You're strong and you must remind yourself of the best version you can be. Give yourself time to heal and use that time to focus on your self-healing. Cry, cry and cry again! Get it all out until you've forgotten what it is you're crying about. Heartache is unbelievably cruel but you recover, I promise. It doesn't happen over night but it happens. You'll find that once you focus on YOU and build yourself back, piece by piece, you'll attract endless amounts of positivity in your life (including better people) Good luck! You've got this!
