When you leave a long term relationship your sense of self can sometimes be affected. Taking time for yourself and discovering the things you truly want and need is important. Often you can feel anxious or less confident, and it can feel difficult to adjust to a time without that person. It’s completely natural to miss being with someone after such a long time, even if the relationship has ended now. Respect and accept your feelings, whatever they may be - you are allowed to have them - and give yourself space to work out what makes you happy and secure by yourself. It takes time, but I promise you’ll get there.

Its sad really that such a long relationship can end and it could take forever for you to get over it .Let all your emotions out , just find yourself ,focus yourself and most of all try to love yourself again .Trust me its going to be super hard on how to forget the memories and feelings you had for that person but time will heal all this and you will get someone who will love you for who you are .Memories will stay but you can sure move on .Go out with your friends or do something that would keep yourself distracted ,the more you ponder the more sad you will become ,so let it all go cause fate has a purpose
Your heart will go on and on :) Stay strong and get better

There is no right or wrong way to deal with a breakup..Especially if it was a long term relationship..Time heals all wounds..Take it one step at a time and know that you did your 110% in whatever you had to do in the relationship..Whether it works or not is not in your hands..Be strong and all the best..

In my opinion getting over this relationship is something that depends on how the breakup came to be. But in general i found out that understanding and most importantly realizing that you are not alone is one of the most important things. After any breakup but especially after a longer relationship like this one loneliness is a big factor. This does not mean that you are truly alone. Anxiety of talking to others about what happen or what you feel is something we don't do enough. Which is why i think more than ever that conversations and empathy are very important. Doing stuff with friends, family and others in general helps you to get back on your feet.
