This is a very hard question to answer as everyone is different. Sometimes we bounce back quickly, sometimes we meet someone even better unexpectedly and sometimes it just seems absolutely like you will never get over the person. Unfortunately the old saying is true, time is a healer. It can take months but sometimes years. I dont think getting over someone means that you would be happy to see them with someone else, but more that you no longer feel emotional pain when you see a photo of them or a picture of them and that you no longer want them back romantically. You need to give yourself time and take good care of yourself. Surround yourself with support and keep busy.

You don’t, One day you’ll just think about the person and no feelings will pop up anymore, no past memories will come into your mind. It takes time - but so does everything. Time is your best friend. With time you will just forget their name. It’s different for everyone but I promise with time everything will be okay. There are plenty of people there to listen to you when you have a random wave of missing that special person. I am proud of how far you’ve come. The truth is fitting- You’ll know when you’re over them. You won’t feel anything toward them anymore. Have an amazing day/night

This is personal to each individual, but for me, I know I am over someone when I find myself comfortable being alone. It's like I get a sense that my loneliness isn't as terrible anymore, and I want to hang with friends, make fun plans, arrange events, or engage in my hobbies. I find that I have this intuitive moment when I am no longer wondering how to fix the relationship or how to be okay without the other person, but I am accepting that I am going to find something even better and that I deserve it when I am ready for it. Then I let the universe do the rest.
