This answer carries for every person and every relationship. Some people can get over someone in a few days but for others it can take years. This can depend on the level of commitment was involved in the relationship and how the relationship was ended. No matter what the circumstances are breakups are always a really emotional and difficult thing to go through. Talking to someone about your experiences and the emotion you are feeling might help.

it depends if your ready or not to let go of what happened and just accept it was for the best.
Of course time is part of it, but it's also how you take it.

It really varies. It depends on how much you cared for them, really--for some, it's weeks, maybe days. For others, it can even be years.

Well, its depends on person to person but the simply theory behind moving on is " faster you accept new things and changes.. Faster you will be move on from past.... So, involving in new things, developing new hobbies, trying new things and making new friends.. To start from the fresh end. More easily you will be able to move on... In starting people find it tough to accept new changes and hence take long time to move on.. But few are able to move on from past very quickly because they start changing themselves and try new things... New life...
Thanks

It might take a long time or a short time. You're going to terribly miss the person but trust me you'll get over it one day. One day you will wake up as a fresh being ready for a new life. You will be able to put away the past behind and look forward to the future. Until then stay strong, learn to love yourself, realize your worth and try to surround yourself with positive vibes. You're not alone. Much love. x

The question is highly subjective and depends on you and your relation.
How deep are you in the relation, how emotional are you, how sensitive to things are you.
How hard are you really trying to get over someone.

It depends on the person, situation, and environment. It can take years, it can take days. Having a healthy support system and working on a positive attitude can really help heal this recovery time- and don't be afraid to feel hurt from time to time.
