Do not be afraid to think of your memories together, but remember they are just that. when you find yourself thinking about them, appreciate the good times and remind yourself that it was good while it lasted, smile and carry on with whatever you are doing. Do not overindulge, soon you will think less and less because you allowed the memories to rest in good faith.

It's okay to think about the memories but remember they are memories. The person in those memories is a different person, they've changed and you've changed.

I wish I had a better answer for this one but the only thing I know that heals is time. If it's really bothering you then you should remove all the reminders. I like to make a ritual of it by throwing them into the ocean or safely burning them to be released by the air or burying them back in the earth to symbolically let go... Then get busy doing some activity you enjoy or working or exercising! Find something else positive to put your attention on. The best revenge is success. Use your hurt feelings to create your dreams. Maybe there was something you wanted to do but didn't because relationships can be all encompassing? Now is the time! You can do this. I believe in you!

Put away all pictures and memorabilia. Each time you start to think about them, say out loud that you're not going to go there, and find something to change your direction of thought. We should move forward in life and not look back. No need to dwell on something you can't change. It is a waste of precious time. Make new memories.
