Practice self-control. If are you feeling badly when they ignore your messages, you can think about that emotional response anytime you get the urge to text them & hopefully that will be enough to deter you. If you find your will power failing, you can always delete their number to remove the temptation.

I've struggled with the same problems. My best friend in middle school actually became popular overnight (one sleepover wrecked it all for us) and I was suddenly deemed not good enough. It might seem hard to let them go, but I speak from experience- if they're willing to ditch you, they're not worth it in the long run. I found better people now who truly care about me, and you will too. Keep that in mind whenever you feel the urge to text them, it's not worth your time. Hope this helps! -Madeleine

Block him/her or delete his/her number without memorizing it. Or just use pure will and tell yourself to stop, and just stop.

This saying applies to multiple people from ex-friends, ex-colleagues and ex-partners; "ex's are ex's for a reason". Remember all the bad times especially if they have been really horrific. You don't need those sort of people in your life. Find those who respect you and will always be there for you when they can.

I get how you feel :(
Unfortunately people are not alwaays as receptive of our company, love and care, as we are desperate for theirs. So I am happy you realize a person ignoring you should not get a text back. What helps me is to log off of the platform for a while (sometimes instagram, facebook). I also DELETE all the previous chat. That way I don't slip. I also find new people to talk with, because I want attention from the person, I go to another. but the best way know who you are you don't need them if they don't care for you. Good luck/.

You could try blocking their number if that's what you really want between the two of you. Otherwise, just resist the urge to text.

Depends on what platform you're on. I would delete their number or block the user. But after all, it also takes a lot of selfcontrol.
