There must be a reason as to why you need to get over this person. And am sure that this reason is valid. Be thankful of the times you guys were together and for the things this person has done for you. At the same time move forward in your life and know that greater things are on the way.

You are the expert on yourself. You can do anything you put your mind to. Just focus on yourself and do things that make you happy. Try learning more about yourself. It hurts to lose people but you have to remember that you are strong and capable of doing so. Never give up on yourself and just keep pushing no matter how steep that mountain is. Sometimes all you have is yourself and that’s okay. You have to be happy with yourself before you’re happy with anyone else. It’s okay to be sad. It’s okay to be mad. You never owe anyone an explanation.

That is something that may not be easy to do. Getting over someone that played such an immense role in your mental well being will be a part of your life for the rest of your life. One way is to try meditation practices. Another way is to exercise. Another way would be to have positive thoughts ready and available to change your train of thought. As soon as you think of someone that you are trying to get over, you think of the other thought that you have saved in your mind. For example, whenever you think of the person, think about a book you read and summarize a chapter in it within your thoughts.
