I would suggest that you rather do get medication and go for therapy, but if that is something you cannot do, then you need to look at your routine. ensure that you eat at a certain time and monitor your sleeping pattern - you need to get enough sleep, but not too much. If you are aware of certain things or people who trigger an attack, stay away from them. Get enough sunlight and exercise.

Sometimes talking through the rough spots works just as well as medicine. For myself I use this app to talk it out with one of our listeners. Especially in the depressive state.

This is an excellent and highly important question. Bipolar disorder may not be the easiest to handle with, but it is not impossible. As a person who lives with bipolar disorder, medication or therapy is not always good enough, but you can always help yourself without medication or therapy. Bipolar disorder can be stressful when changing moods, but by doing personal meditation and repeating self worth quotes to yourself definitely brings some positivity and personal progress to handling bipolar disorder. Everyday, calmly meditate or stretch for at least 10 minutes and day and write a self worth quote in a private book. You can also write the events and feelings you experienced that day and write how you can overcome that situation. This will surely help positively.
