Maybe you're just very intelligent! If it becomes a problem, I would see a doctor. Maybe it is ADHD.

There are a lot of reasons for that - it depends on the nature of your thoughts, which could then be symptoms of an underlying mental illness. Have you seen a mental health professional about this?

Sometimes our brains become almost hyperactive, either due to anxiety or our personalities. Try doing some mindfulness exercises or some meditation to try and calm things down up there :)

It is your brain, your brain is thinking and constantly learning and you can't just ask it to stop. You might be able to at times slow it down by relaxing and trying not to think too much about some things, but it's your brain, it's busy controlling your organs and your body to function and then things outside the body, It's never gonna slow down.

It seems like there are a lot of things that are going on in your head right now. Sometimes, when we are anxious, we find that there are many thoughts in our head that won't seem to go away and this can be very frustrating for us, especially when we are trying to focus on our day-to-day lives (or trying to go to sleep at night!)
It might help for you to acknowledge these thoughts by writing them down in a journal or a simple peace of paper. Also, I would suggest meditating and/or exercising. These two activities can help you clear your head. You may notice that you feel more relaxed/energized afterward.

When you are dealing with too many responsibilities at the same time and you are not taking time to slow down, to reflect, to plan and to organize your life then your brain continues to work overtime just trying to cope with all the unresolved issues.

Sounds like Rapid Thinking which can be part of the manic side of Bipolar disorder. I would talk to a doctor to rule things out.

Your brain may never slow down if you are introverted. Introverted people have brains that work more and use more energy. This means that there is less energy for your brain to socialize. If you're extroverted your brain doesn't use more energy and you are able to socialize more. Introverts often feel as though their brains never stop. When my brain won't stop I find reading to help my brain slow down or math (sudoku works). I would practice focusing your thoughts.

Maybe because you're worried, stressed or nervous. You could have something on your mind that is bothering you which is why your brain cannot slow down. You're worrying about the future and what will happen to you, you could be upset about something either a relationship or someone close to you.

I sometimes have this experience when I am very excited about something or when I'm feeling impatient and want to get something done. It may be different for you. Is there something in your environment that causes you to feel overly stimulated? It's also possible that this is just how your brain works. You process things quickly and perhaps you are a quick learner.

The Facebook "Seen" message gives me a lot of anxiety! When I see that the person has "seen" the message, but does not reply, I start thinking about all the possible reasons why they would 'ignore' me... Does anyone else feel this? If so, how do you cope?
