This is due to, at night time we are more focused on our internal deep thoughts and emotions compared to the day time. That is because we stay busy and feel watched at the day time so we can't focus more on our deeper mind. So at night we either tend to overthink about some future event or worry by recalling some situation in the past that felt uneasy to us. Which keeps us awake all night as thoughts stimulate stress hormones in our body, and that makes us overwhelmed and unable to sleep. Realizing that these are all my worries based on past events that may have few or no possibility of turning into reality, is the 1st step we can take towards calming ourselves. Hope you find it helpful!
