Anxiety keeps you awake at night because your sub conscious wants to keep thinking about it and then you can't get distracted.

Anxiety can keep you awake because, in my words, your mind won't stop working and worrying. If it's a constant problem, you could talk to someone about being on melatonin supplements, or anxiety medication.

The constant worry of anxiety is probably leaving you unable to switch off the constant anxious thoughts in your brain, which is causing you to be unable to fall asleep.

Because anxiety is very physical, and the symptoms make you feel like you've just ran a marathon making it impossible to relax! Advice: take some deep breaths and do some meditation or relaxation exercises.

Anxiety is a perception of danger. It's probably telling your body that there might be danger, which keeps your body full on alert and hence keeps you awake just in case

Normally when you feel anxious, your body goes on high alert, looking for possible danger and activating your fight or flight responses. In addition, the reason for you to sleep is to allow your brain take a rest from your daily mental activities. So, in order for you to get a proper sleep or fall asleep at night is determined by your psychological metal state. often, in most cases we fall asleep when we are relaxed or when our mind get into unconscious state. So reason for you not to sleep at night when you feel anxious is because your brain is active which will result you being in a conscious mental state like any conscious person on their daily routines during the day.
