I can relate to your question and experiencing a break up can be very traumatizing especially if you have put a lot of time and effort into that person, and got to know them and there family and friends very well, it can be heartbreaking, and time is definitely a healer. Spending time with friends and families works a lot, as they will offer you support and advice and help you the best way they can. Looking at helpful guides on our website or others such as getconnected.org or youthnet can also be a great way to get advice too, just remember you are not alone and things will eventually progress and get better. Lastly, try writing a diary about how you feel etc, just to get everything out? go to the gym and release any tension you have there? join online communities , paint or draw? anything that you enjoy to help you recover from the break up, just remember theres always support and advice out there!

Because in a sense you feel that you have lost someone who was once close to you. It is completely normal to go through emotions of sadness, depressed maybe, confused, hurt and so on, and it is something that you will get through with time. Allow yourself the time to go through these feelings though, don't let them become blocked.
