It’s a normal thing to experience this. It’s just a little bit of anxiety. These are your peers, and you’re speaking to them. it’s perfectly normal. If your school has a public speaking class, that’s a class to confident taking. The more you speak in front of people, the easier it gets.

Being in front of a group of people can make you feel very vulnerable to criticism and those insecure feelings can pop out at the worst times! The good news is, you aren't alone and its the most common phobia/issue that is out there! Just remember, those are you feelings and not the truth. Most people in class are so nervous about standing up there as well and usually are more concerned with that rather than worrying about judging someone. :) Try not to give into those feelings and keep practicing so your can feel more confident in your content. :) Good luck!

Its very common to have anxiety during things like class presentation. It might be reassuring to know that many experience this and it is nothing to be ashamed of. The best way to conquer this is simply to know that most people dont really think negatively about you, and they do not blame you for being nervous. Just keep at it and with time it will be easier :)

Anxiety in crowds and public speaking is healthy- look up some of the excercises on line that you can do to work on that. MAke sure you let your teacher know if this is an issue for you as well, it is normal and healthy.

it sounds like you might be a bit shy or have a little bit of social anxiety, try taking one step at a time to slowly get better! you might start with even just starting to talk louder in class.

I happens when you maybe worry about what your classmates are thinking, or how your professor is going to evaluate your performance. Maybe you are repeatedly telling yourself that you won't do a good job. So all of these makes you feel anxious and it become difficult to talk with confidence. If you feel like it interferes with your life and your happiness, you can always talk to someone about it, family, friends or a professional.

The Facebook "Seen" message gives me a lot of anxiety! When I see that the person has "seen" the message, but does not reply, I start thinking about all the possible reasons why they would 'ignore' me... Does anyone else feel this? If so, how do you cope?
