Why can't I talk easily in front of my class?

For some of us, it's hard to be in front of a group of people and speak. Sometimes it makes us wonder what everyone is thinking and question if we are doing well. I believe you have to force yourself out of your comfort zone time and time again until something like this ever becomes comfortable.

A lot of times people struggle with this because they're scared of getting judged, messing up and embarrassing themselves in front of the class, or getting made fun of.

It is basically because of fear or shyness. Focus on what you need to talk instead of being self conscious.

Talking in front of people is difficult! It doesn't mean that anything is wrong with you, it is anxiety provoking. The more you do it and get used to it, the easier it should be to be able to manage the anxious feelings

sometimes it's hard to stand up in front of the class because there are so many people giving you attention. it can be nerve-wracking at times, but breathing through it usually helps, or focusing on one area, rather than the whole of the classroom.

The uneasiness of talking in front of a public may come as a result of social anxiety or general anxiety. Putting it in other words it is an interferance of your emotions ( mostly anxiety).

Perhaps it could be the of fear of being embarrassed? For example, you think your answer may be the right one! But...what if it's not? You might be thinking that people will judge you or think you're stupid for thinking that was the answer.

This could be an indication that you are struggling with social anxiety. While it could also be something else such as shyness, you may want to consider how this affects your day to day life. You probably haven't had a lot of practice, or you are just worried that you won't do a good job. These are natural fears. If you try practicing in front of friends, family or a mirror that might help. Or even record yourself if you feel bold enough. Once you are used to speaking in front of people, it will come much more naturally.
