Anxiety is not something that is easy to overcome. Because it does not involve just your feelings, but also your brain. Because you experience anxiety so often, it has become some sort of a habit for your brain and it is impossible to stop it so quickly. So take things slowly. One way to reduce anxiety effects is by counting slowly to 10 when it occurs. It really helps a lot.

Breathe, meditate, take things slowly, try to figure out the reason why you are anxious, and try to overcome that.

It takes time for it to go away, it's not something you can get rid of right away. When you are getting an anxiety attack pull yourself to the side and take deep breaths. Something else you can do is carry a small rubber band with you and play with it when you get an anxiety attack.

Many people think of anxiety as a fleeting emotion that ceases to exist once the situation improves. Unfortunately, this is simply not true. Anxiety causes a chemical change within the brain and can rewire a person's emotions, responses, and judgment. When this change takes place, it can be difficult to consider life without anxiety - this can push a person to feel like they will experience this forever. Anxiety is often treatable with different options: Medication, therapy, better sleep habits, a positive support group, and/or long-term detox from negative stimuli.

Overcoming anxiety fully is a very hard thing to do, especially if you've struggled with it for awhile, like I have. I've found that talking with either a therapist or school psychologist helps a lot, as they understand what's going on more than most people. Close friends can also be a great support system if you're in class and your anxiety levels rise to where it is hard to handle. Parents are a great support system as well, as you're with them a lot and they are always there for you. :)
