Sometimes when people experience anxiety or panic attacks, it can make breathing very hard. You may have shortness of breath and accelerated blood pulse, along with other physical symptoms.

You may be suffering from a bit of anxiety. I would take some tests to see if that's a possibility. The trouble with having difficulty talking to someone is that it's both a mental and physical issue. I'd say the thought of having to do something would be overwhelming and feeling overwhelmed can effect our breathing ! I choose to do things and it helps take away the stress and gives me power !

Shortness of breath is a common sign of social anxiety, and many people suffer from different degrees of it. You may want to research coping strategies, and there are many psychological explanations, even if you were just to look at what they teach in A=Level psychology, that would give you some insight.

This can be because you are feeling a little nervous or anxious. If you know this is something that happens to you practice mindful breathing before you begin speaking to other people. It's been shown that breathing in for 4 seconds, hold it for 2 seconds and then breath out for 6 reduces stress.
