It sounds like you don't enjoy the attention drawn to you. I am the same way. You like focusing the conversation on others and that takes away from yourself. It is hard in social situations and you might fear how others react to your answers to these questions. They are your friends, and likely will not judge you. You can answer the question in just a few words so you can get more comfortable as time passes. As the conversation continues, you may be more comfortable opening up and sharing more information about yourself. Take it at your own pace. You are not alone
Have a helpful insight? Don’t keep it to yourself.
Sharing helps others and its therapeutic for you.
