Take yourself off to one side, count to 10 and take some deep breaths, drink a nice cold glass of water and sit outside in the fresh air. Look up at the sky and say to yourself 'there is nothing that i cant handle, i am cool, i am calm and i am collected' You can get through this and anxiety doesnt hold you back, you can do whatever you want to do and you can handle it

I'd suggest laying down, if possible listen to an affirmation audio. http://www.healthjourneys.com/kaiser/panicAttacks_flash.asp this one is good. relax and follow everything it says.

I have struggled with anxiety before I even knew what it was. The best way for me to handle anxiety is to figure out what I need personally. Everyone is different. Some people like to be left alone. I would rather have a friend hold me. Music and friends are what helps me, but some people might be completely different. Figure out what you need and go from there.

Deep breaths help me a lot, I also like to try to slow down, think about exactly what it is that has me in a panic and realize that what it is that's bothering me is not as much of a big deal as it truly is.

Talking it out is probably the best way. Having someone to sit with you and help gather your thoughts is not only helpful, but therapeutic as well.

The most effective thing for me is to try breathing exercises. I sometimes imagine as of I'm the weirdest things like a cat. I focus on the details of that what type of cat I would be what colour how big or small and by then since my attention has been changed the affect of my anxiety has decreased significantly.
