Your girlfriend should be like any other friend. Talk about what you both enjoy. You could discuss TV shows, actors, art history, anything you or your girlfriend likes. Politics can be quite fun but maybe stay away from that of your opinions differ

There's plently of stuff to talk about! Mhm how about how your best funny childhood memories? How you think the universe was created? (This would be amazing if you guys sat gazing at the stars at night) Maybe talk about your future plans, what you dream of having!

Anything you share an interest in with her. Talk about your day, what you like, what you dislike, what you want for yourself or any hobbies that you might have. Talk about music, or books, or sports if that's what you're into. If you want to talk about deeper things, speak about that. Ask questions, get to know her, learn about her.

Although it seems strange, sometimes it is important to talk about the mundane things in life. Questions such as; How was your day? How are you feeling? can open the door to interesting conversation.

Maybe talk about things she enjoys, but remember if you like something and she doesn't or vise versa, then make sure to talk it out and make sure it's ok with them(not in a controlling way, but in a more respect way) and if they don't accept you for who you are in anyway, then I don't think its worth it.

little things mean a lot. How their day went. If you don't know then ask ice breaker questions to get a conversation going.

Well I bet she's your girlfriend for a reason - there is something you liked about her in the first place, enough to get in a relationship with her. Remember what that was and start there - how you two met. You have to start a conversation first, and pleasantries sometimes do actually work - you start talking about the weather, or how you met, or why you like that shirt she'd put on today - and more often than not, the conversation will find it's own way and before you know it - you've spent hours talking to her.
Also, don't underestimate the power of silence - sometimes just sitting next to each other and saying nothing at all can feel like the best conversation ever =)

Depending on how close you are, maybe you can just talk about anything that comes to mind. Or find things you both enjoy and discuss them, watch a movie together that you can discuss. Talk about each other's day, your pasts, the future, opinions.

If it's a new relationship, I can see why you'd be a little confused about what to talk about. If not, then talk about anything! If you've known each other for a while and you really do like each other, talking about any non-offensive thing should be just fine. If it's a new relationship and you're still getting to know each other, ask some questions. Ask about likes, dislikes, her family, her opinions on various subjects. Talk about anything you have in common, like movies or tv shows you both watch. Tell her what you like about her; it can be nice to hear something positive about yourself every now and then.
In conclusion, ask questions, get to know each other, and talk about both your similarities and differences.

The Facebook "Seen" message gives me a lot of anxiety! When I see that the person has "seen" the message, but does not reply, I start thinking about all the possible reasons why they would 'ignore' me... Does anyone else feel this? If so, how do you cope?
