What could I do when I'm having an anxiety attack at school and nothing is helping?

When I would have panic attacks, I would get a large glass of water and drink it slowly but persistently. And then a second if necessary. I was told by my doc to carry benedryl with me at all times and to take one to calm down and it worked. Even just knowing I had the benedryl with me helped. Also not to be gross, but trying to have a bowl movement worked. So find a private bathroom or one you know no one really uses. I think these things must’ve calmed my breathing and settled me. And they work.

You should leave the classroom maybe bring a close friend with you so you are not alone. You can step outside to get some fresh air since your breathing will be affected. School is very stressful and stress leads to panic attacks, You are not alone. You can focus on your breathing, drink some cold water, wash your face with water, and step outside to get some fresh air. Your friend or somebody you are with can let your teacher know what is going on. They will certainly understand and allow you to deal with the anxiety attack first before returning to class
