I've felt mindfulness exercises always help me. A quick google search will bring some up but the basis is that you focus your mind on the here and now. You notice the sensations in your body, where you connect with the floor or chair. What can you smell? Hear? See? When you focus your mental energy on the present then it can take away from that never ending worrying and over-thinking.

You should first have a glass of water. Slowly breath in and breath out. Trying listening to some soft music and then share your problem.

What helps me is to take a few deep breaths and try to calm myself. If that doesn't completely work I try to write down everything that is racing through my mind. Make lists of things you have to do. And write down how you feel. Just the act of getting it all out on paper makes my mind calm down abit.

Try to distract yourself because during the time you are free, your body is not doing anything so your brain starts to think about things, so my tip is to do something which doesn't give your brain a chance to think

Write them down; that is what I always go to first, and afterwards you'll feel like a weight is lifted off your shoulders. If it still bothers you, then try distracting yourself. You can draw or play a video game or watch your favorite show.

The best option is to sleep, to let your mind rest for a while. If that doesn't help, then sit down somewhere quiet and sort out your thoughts one by one.

You should do some test for ADHD. Anyway, if you feel like it, you should try to "slow them down" by writing them on paper.

The easiest first step is to practice breathing. Focus only on your breath, and find a 4-4-4-4 pattern. So inhale deeply for 4 seconds, hold it for 4 seconds, breathe out fully for 4 seconds, and then rest for 4 seconds (not breathing in or out).. Repeat as needed.. Good luck!

The Facebook "Seen" message gives me a lot of anxiety! When I see that the person has "seen" the message, but does not reply, I start thinking about all the possible reasons why they would 'ignore' me... Does anyone else feel this? If so, how do you cope?
