You let go of fear by looking at it. You can’t ignore it or deny it. It’s part of you but it’s not all of you and can be forgotten if you work at it. Even if you don’t like it the best thing you can do is write everything down and constantly analyse it telling yourself every day that it’s not rational.

Anxiety is something I have dealt with my whole life. The best way I have learned to get past my fears is creating a fear ladder so I can take baby steps from the least scary thing towards the thing that I fear most. Sometimes this means reminding myself to do it in spite of the fear because giving into it will set me back and reinforce it. In the moment when I feel that anxiety I will focus on my breathing, grounding with my 5 senses, and not allow my thoughts to spiral negatively. Doing the thing that I fear over and over again has shown me that I was looking at things irrationally as a worst-case scenario and I really can handle it.

how do you let go of fear? it might be hard, but you might want to confront the fear you’re facing. think about all the fear you’re feeling and say ‘i’m not scared’ ‘i can get through this’. or, you could think about the realism of the fear. is it irrational? is it inevitable? if whatever you’re afraid of is most likely going to happen, why worry about it? you can’t stop it so just let it happen. i know this is hard to do but sometimes worrying about the fear is just as bad as the actual fear.
